Vitra 'Cite' Chair by Jean Prouvé, 1931
An early masterpiece by Jean Prouvé, the ‘Cité’ chair was designed for a competition to furnish the residence halls of the Cit̩é Universitaire in Nancy. The chair with high headrest and comfortable proportions features unusual runners made of powder coated steel. Thick leather belts with buckles and all function as armrests.
