Herman Miller 'Eames Walnut' Stool by Charles and Ray Eames
In 1960, Ray Eames was asked to design occasional pieces for the lobby of the Time-Life building to accompany chairs designed by her husband, Charles. Trained as a sculptor, Ray created the Walnut Stools, which became her favorite seats and were scattered all over the Pacific Palisades home that she shared with Charles.
There's no wrong way to use an Eames Walnut Stool: seat, plant stand, side table, sculpture. Crafted from solid-turned walnut with a concave top and bottom, it has been called an "abstract chess piece". This stool is beautifully versatile and can be used anywhere!
Dimensions: 13" Diameter x 15"H
Good condition consistent with age; surface scratches on top (images attached)
