Belux ‘Le Strutture Tremano’ Pedestal by Ettore Sottsass (vintage)
Designed by Ettore Sottsass, one of the original founders of the Memphis design movement, this whimsical pedestal fully embodies the ethos of the group. Influenced by Art Deco, Pop Art, and 1950s kitsch the post modern movement only lasted from 1981-1988. The group championed the use of unconventional, often garish colors and patterns as well as off kilter or asymmetrical compositions. Now that we understand the inherent value of this piece, it still begs the question, what to put on top?
Dimensions: 19.5” x 19.5” x 45”h
Great vintage condition. Scratch on top of glass, minor chips in lacquer poles.
