Allison Caesar’s work explores materials and processes, drawing inspiration from architecture, industrial landscapes, and geometry. Using discarded materials from her public school classroom or tools from a hardware store, the premise is always collage. The outcome is chemistry. The work is highly intuitive and experimental. Born in San Francisco, and raised in Philadelphia, Caesar received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, Massachusetts in 1987. Today she works in Los Angeles, California.
