Ercol Originals Counter Stool - Black Ash

A piece of design history, this barstool was originally sketched by Lucian Ercolani for draftsmen at his British furniture company in the 1950s, yet remained unproduced until 2010. Handcrafted entirely from solid ash using time-honored joinery methods, it eschews metal fasteners in favor of traditional Windsor wedge joints—tapered tenons secured with wedges that create lasting strength between legs and seat. The carved, contoured seat provides ergonomic comfort. Produced by L. Ercolani, the premium division of Ercol, and made in the U.K., this stool combines authentic craftsmanship with refined proportions. Tapered legs contribute both structural integrity and visual elegance.
