Created in 1947, the Gräshoppa Floor Lamp stands as one of Greta M. Grossman's most iconic designs in postwar modernism. This Swedish architect and designer, who established her studio in Los Angeles, merged Scandinavian craftsmanship with California's relaxed aesthetic into her distinctive approach to furniture and lighting.
The lamp's distinctive backward-tilting tripod base creates a striking form—simultaneously organic and architecturally refined. Its rotating conical shade adjusts to cast light exactly where needed, whether illuminating a reading nook or highlighting a curated display.
