Louis Poulsen OE Quasi Pendant
Designed by Olafur Eliasson, this commanding architectural pendant combines a dual-form composition where a rigid aluminum icosahedron frame suspends a white polycarbonate dodecahedron reflector at its center. Embedded LEDs positioned within the frame's inner vertices connect to precision light guides that run along the structural edges, channeling light toward the central reflector. The result is a spherical light distribution that radiates evenly into the surrounding environment, eliminating glare while maintaining optical clarity.
The interplay between the geometric framework and refined light path delivers both sophisticated illumination and a compelling three-dimensional sculptural element that transforms as one observes from different angles.
