Ralph Pucci Mahina Floor Light Sculpture by John Koga
John Koga is a celebrated Honolulu-based sculptor and painter who’s work is included in both museum and private collections around the world. With an MFA in ceramics and sculpture from the University of Hawaii, he went on to study sculpture in Pietrasanta, Italy. Koga is renowned for his abstract modernist aesthetic which reflects balanced serenity lent from the influence of Isamu Noguchi, Saturo Abe, and Tadashi Sato. Many of his works have been celebrated with awards from the Honolulu Museum of Art and the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts. As evident in his art, Koga seeks to reflect the beauty of his natural surroundings, from stone to sea and sky. His signature medium, marble and plaster, made him a perfect candidate for bringing to life unique furniture and lighting designs in Plasterglass from the PUCCI mannequin factory in NYC. Koga joined RALPH PUCCI in 2007.
The Kukui Floor Light Sculpture is an outstanding example of the work of esteemed artist John Koga.
