Where Function Meets Form | Chapt. 2
The Daybed & The Chaise
For part 2 of our convertible series we present a classic. Some of you may be wondering why the daybed and the chaise have been included here. They may not convert per se but they are the original convertible. Minus the identity crisis. The daybed and the chaise are unwavering and unchanging and yet cater to every need. They have roots in history as deep as the chair. They maintain their shape, yet they have served multiple purposes since Ancient Greece/Rome and China as early as 206 BC. This convertible serves as a place to lounge, sleep, read, eat even. Why sit when you can lounge?
With the upcoming release of the latest James Bond flick, SPECTRE, we can’t help but think of the Prive Daybed as a quintessential pairing. For the serious lounger we’re calling out your inner 007. Perfect for those mimosa weekend mornings with the ladies or curling up with your SO and a glass of wine. This piece is versatile enough to serve as guest bed for 2 in your spare room or kick back in luxury in your den/media room while you watch some Bond classics. if you really want to make an impression go against conformity and place it in your living room. Ideal for those warm summer nights and in the winter warm it up with the trending brown sheepskin which is replacing the popular white sheepskin as the temperatures cool.

Less of a space hog than the Prive, the Orgone chaise is as sculptural as it is functional. It can be used as seating, lounging or even napping. The Orgone does not discriminate. This head turner can fit in any room that needs that little extra something to really “tie the room together”.

Now if those last two daybeds have you feeling a bit like Goldilocks here's another option. The Carnaby Daybed is a beautiful collaboration of furniture and fashion. You’ll never misplace your phone or remote again with pockets integrated into the headboard that are reminiscent of your favorite purse.

If this style of convertible is what you desire rest assured that there are endless possibilities, shapes and sizes to fit your need. We're especially fond of the chaise's ability to adapt to almost any space in any room. They can add that extra luxury you crave in your office, bedroom or even your ensuite. No matter your home's aesthetic there is a chaise/daybed out there that will compliment beautifully.
