The Bradbury Building
The Bradbury Building is the oldest commercial building in central Los Angeles, opening in 1893. This historic structure was designed by architect George Wyman, who was commissioned to design the building after communicating with his dead brother. The building's ornate interior features ironwork, marble stairs, and a glass skylight. In addition, the building's elevators are ornate, too, with ornate iron railings and a caged opening. Tourists can tour the building's lobby and explore the landing area.
The Bradbury Building is an architectural landmark in the heart of downtown LA. It has an impressive history, including dozens of movies and television shows. Filmmakers have used the building as a setting for a century. From 1940s noirs to dystopian science fiction, Bradbury's vision has been the subject of several works. In addition to films, the building has been used for music videos and comics.
