Louis Poulsen 'PH Artichoke' Lamp by Poul Henningsen, 1958
The world renowned Artichoke Lamp (1958) is composed of layers of overlapping “leaves.” Each leaf is laser-cut for precision and then configured by hand giving off a soft but assertive light that does not glare from any angle. The designer, Poul Henningsen, is quoted as saying “This lamp is constructed with the most difficult and noble task in mind: lighting in the home.” We think this piece is especially beautiful the brushed copper finish.
